W2 Day 7 of Nana's Internship

 

Week 2 Day 7 (15 April 2025)


Activity

- Continued keying in the company’s payment vouchers.
- After completing the task, I received two more files from Ms. Chan: one for the office claim listing and another for Hasina’s staff claim listing (January to December 2024). I began entering the payment vouchers based on this new data.
- Handled a client phone call and helped convey the client’s request to Ms. Amber.
 

Key Learning

- Continued improving accuracy and speed in entering payment vouchers.
- Learned how to handle multiple claim listings and organize them efficiently.
- Gained experience in working with staff reimbursement records.
- Improved communication skills by assisting a client over the phone.
- Learned how to properly convey messages and coordinate between clients and internal staff.
- Built confidence in multitasking between accounting duties and basic client service.
 

Reflection

Today, I continued keying in payment vouchers and received two additional files from Ms. Chan, which included claim listings for both the office and Hasina, a staff member. This added task gave me more exposure to handling reimbursement data and organizing it accurately in the system. I had to stay focused to avoid errors when working with larger sets of records. Later, I answered a phone call from a client and helped relay their request to Ms. Amber. Although I was a bit nervous, it was a good experience that improved my communication skills. I felt more involved and responsible, balancing both accounting tasks and client interaction.
