Week 25 Day 125 (26 September  2025) Activity -  Communicated with the LHDN officer and sent an inquiry email to the person in charge of the client’s case in LHDN. - Continued checking and keying in the bank statement data, then generated the bank reconciliation for the period of August 2017 until May 2018. Key Learning -     Learned how to properly communicate with LHDN officers and handle formal inquiries through email. - Improved my skills in handling old bank statement data and ensuring the reconciliation process is accurate. Reflection Today felt a bit intense because dealing with government officers like those from LHDN requires being extra careful with words and details. When I sent the inquiry email, I made sure it was clear and professional, since any misunderstanding could delay the case. It was a good practice in communication that I know will be useful in my future career. On the accounting side, going through old bank statements from 2017 to ...

Week 25 Day 124 (25 September  2025) Activity -  Backed up all the SQL data I had completed earlier into a folder after a scary incident in the morning when a memory full error popped up, and upon logging in again, the data seemed to be gone. - Assisted Ms. Chan by preparing a summary for a client regarding her commission received in her personal bank account, recording everything neatly in Excel. - Continued tallying Ms. Chan’s account works with the bank statement and generated the bank reconciliation. - Communicated with a client to follow up on whether the necessary signatures had been completed and confirmed if we could collect the documents. Key Learning -  Learned the importance of data backup to prevent loss and protect completed work. - Practiced using Excel for financial summaries and improved my attention to detail. - Understood how important clear communication and follow-ups with clients are in ensuring smooth progress. Reflection This morning really ...

Week 25 Day 123 (24 September  2025) Activity -  Analysed the documents and continued keying in payment vouchers for cheque payments from the point where Ms. Chan had stopped. - Checked supplier statements to ensure they tallied with my records and Ms. Chan’s previous records. Key Learning -  Learned how to continue and maintain consistency in account records when taking over tasks from others. - Understood the process of cross-checking supplier statements with payment vouchers to avoid discrepancies. - Improved my analytical skills by comparing current entries with previous records to ensure no errors were carried forward. Reflection Today’s work was a bit of a challenge because I had to continue from where Ms. Chan stopped, focusing on cheque payments. At first, I felt a little unsure since everyone has their own style of recording, and I didn’t want to make any mistake. But as I went through the documents one by one, I started to get used to her way of working a...

Week 25 Day 122 (23 September  2025) Activity -  Keyed in petty cash vouchers from November 2024 until September 2025. - Started helping Ms. Chan to settle her long-pending client account by sorting all the documents according to the project year. Key Learning -  Learned how to manage and record petty cash transactions, which often involve many small amounts but are still crucial for accuracy in financial reporting. - Gained exposure to handling backlog accounts and saw how proper document sorting by year can make the process clearer and more efficient. -  Understood the importance of teamwork and assisting seniors to complete pending tasks that require patience and good organization. Reflection Today’s work gave me a mix of routine and new experience. Recording petty cash vouchers was straightforward but required close attention since the amounts were small and easy to overlook. It reminded me that even the smallest expenses must be recorded properly because ...

Week 25 Day 121 (22 September  2025) Activity -  Keyed in bank statement for the period of April until August 2025 and generated the bank reconciliation. - Continued keying in purchase transactions from June until September 2025. - Keyed in sales transactions from April until September 2025. Key Learning -  Learned how to systematically organize large volumes of data by separating the tasks into smaller timeframes, which made the work more manageable. - Understood the importance of bank reconciliation in ensuring that the bank records tally with the company’s accounts, preventing discrepancies. - Gained more practice in balancing purchase and sales entries to maintain accurate financial records. Reflection Today was a day filled with detailed and repetitive work, but it helped me realize how these “small” tasks are actually the backbone of financial reporting. Keying in purchases and sales month by month gave me a clearer view of how transactions slowly build up to...
