  Week 6 Day 30 (16 May 2025) Activity - Continued amending the expense transactions that caused discrepancies between the general ledger and the balance sheet. - Sought assistance from Ms. Amber, who guided me on a more efficient method to identify and resolve imbalances. - Received a task from Ms. Chan to make account adjustments for a client using the UBS accounting system. Key Learning -  Learned how to trace and identify errors that lead to imbalance in financial statements. - Gained practical knowledge of using UBS system for adjusting client account entries. - Discovered the importance of verifying figures at each step to ensure accurate financial reporting. Reflection Today was mentally demanding as I had to deal with unresolved imbalances in the accounts. Week 6 Day 29 (15 May 2025) Activity -  Continued rechecking the expense transactions I keyed in for the client whose purchase section I managed to tally yesterday. - Received a new task from Ms. Chan — I was assigned to key in cash sales for a new client’s business, and I successfully completed the data entry. - Received another task from Mr. Lim, which involved allocating, arranging, and categorizing receipts for another client’s business to assist with the accounting process. Key Learning -  Learned the importance of double-checking expense entries to ensure consistency with purchase records. - Improved my ability to manage and complete cash sales data entry efficiently for a new client. - Understood how proper documentation and organization directly affect the clarity and accuracy of financial statements. - Developed better time management by handling multiple tasks from different supervisors in one day.   Reflection Today was a fairly packed day with different tasks ...

Week 6 Day 28 (14 May 2025) Activity -  Continued with the pending task I paused last week. I asked Ms. Chan again to confirm whether the notes I had taken were correct. - Accompanied Mr. Lim to Telekom Malaysia to check the status update regarding the technician visit for maintaining the office phone main line and hunting line. - After returning to the office, I rechecked and amended the purchase transactions by cross-referencing them with the supplier data I had keyed into Excel last week. - Communicated with the client to request the missing supporting documents needed to complete the record. Key Learning -  Reinforced the importance of double-checking notes and prior work to ensure accuracy. - Learned to cross-verify supplier transactions to prevent errors in purchase records. - Gained insight into how external communications (e.g., with service providers like Telekom) are part of an accountant’s broader administrative responsibilities. - Improved communication skills when...

Week 6 Day 27 (13 May 2025) Activity -  Continued with last week’s task, which involved preparing the accounts for a client, including keying in purchases from March to December, entering expenses, amending sales records, and manually preparing a trial balance. - Communicated with the client to request missing supporting documents and clarify some confusion regarding their records. Key Learning -  Gained experience in manually preparing a trial balance, which requires attention to detail and understanding of double entries. - Improved communication skills by interacting directly with the client to resolve discrepancies and request documents. - Understood the importance of maintaining accurate and complete supporting documents for accounting accuracy.   Reflection Today was a productive yet slightly challenging day. As I continue my internship journey, I'm reminded of the importance of staying calm through challenges, being kind in the workplace, and always seeking self-improvement. Grateful for the growth so far, and looking forward to continuing this journey with patience and purpose.
