  Week 9 Day 45 (06 Jun  2025) Activity -  Continued keying in the audit schedule, covering from Trade Debtors to Accrual Expenses. - Adjusted journal entries in the SQL system after discovering that Ms. Chan had missed updating the opening balance. This adjustment was necessary to correctly calculate the gain or loss on foreign exchange involving USD transactions. Key Learning -  Learned how to cross-check account balances and prepare audit schedules to support the accuracy and completeness of financial statements. This process also helps auditors trace and verify figures easily. - Understood the critical role of foreign exchange adjustments, especially in businesses with international transactions. Even a minor error in the opening balance can lead to significant misstatements in forex gain/loss figures. - Improved my understanding of how currency fluctuations can impact financial records and the need to reference the correct exchange rates when making adjustments....

  Week 9 Day 44 (05 Jun  2025) Activity -  Continued keying in journal entries from January 2025 to March 2025. - Reviewed and printed out all completed journal entries for filing purposes. - Amended a previously completed client’s account in UBS after Ms. Amber pointed out an error needed for audit. - Learned how to issue an invoice from our company system, guided by Ms. Amber. - Learned to prepare an audit schedule to verify the correctness of my accounting work. Key Learning -  Learned how to cross-check journal entries thoroughly before finalizing and printing. - Understood how to create audit schedules, which are useful tools for reviewing accounting accuracy. - Gained new skills in invoice issuing procedures used in our firm. Reflection I continued with the journal entries from January to March 2025 and then cross-checked all the entries before printing them out for filing.   Week 9 Day 43 (04 Jun  2025) Activity -  Continued keying in journal entries into the SQL system, focusing on payment vouchers dated from May 2024 to December 2024. Key Learning -  Gained deeper familiarity with the SQL accounting system interface and workflow. - Practiced entering journal entries based on real financial documents like payment vouchers. Reflection Today, I continued keying in journal entries using the SQL system, focusing on payment vouchers from May to December 2024. The process required me to stay very focused and organized, as I had to ensure that every transaction was entered into the correct account. Although the work was repetitive, it helped me gain a better understanding of how various transactions flow into the general ledger and how they affect the financial statements. I’m becoming more familiar with the SQL system and feel more confident using it with minimal supervision.

  Week 9 Day 42 (03 Jun  2025) Activity -  Adjusted a client’s account in the UBS system after Ms. Chan reviewed and pointed out some corrections. - Retrieved supporting documents such as credit notes from the audit department to verify discounts allowed on specific invoices. - Printed official exchange rate information (MYR to USD) from Google to support journal entry adjustments involving USD transactions. Key Learning -  Understood how to retrieve and apply credit note documentation to make accounting entries more accurate. - Learned the importance of using reliable sources when referring to exchange rates for foreign currency transactions. - Gained more experience in using the UBS system to make necessary client adjustments. Reflection Today involved a mix of hands-on accounting adjustments and interdepartmental communication. Week 9 Day 41 (02 June 2025) Public Holiday – Agong’s Birthday Today is Agong’s Birthday. No work activity was carried out. 🎉 Happy Agong’s Birthday! 🎉 Wishing His Majesty a blessed and joyful celebration. On this public holiday, I took a moment to rest and recharge after several weeks of learning and hands-on experience during my internship.
