Activity


Communicated with the LHDN officer and sent an inquiry email to the person in charge of the client’s case in LHDN.

- Continued checking and keying in the bank statement data, then generated the bank reconciliation for the period of August 2017 until May 2018.


Key Learning


  Learned how to properly communicate with LHDN officers and handle formal inquiries through email.

- Improved my skills in handling old bank statement data and ensuring the reconciliation process is accurate.


Reflection


Today felt a bit intense because dealing with government officers like those from LHDN requires being extra careful with words and details. When I sent the inquiry email, I made sure it was clear and professional, since any misunderstanding could delay the case. It was a good practice in communication that I know will be useful in my future career. On the accounting side, going through old bank statements from 2017 to 2018 was quite tiring but also gave me a sense of accomplishment when I managed to generate the reconciliation properly. It reminded me that even though the process feels repetitive, every step is important to make sure the accounts are reliable. I realized that patience and accuracy really go hand in hand in this field, and I’m slowly getting used to balancing both.
