W25 Day 124 of Nana's Internship

Activity
- Backed up all the SQL data I had completed earlier into a folder after a scary incident in the morning when a memory full error popped up, and upon logging in again, the data seemed to be gone.
- Assisted Ms. Chan by preparing a summary for a client regarding her commission received in her personal bank account, recording everything neatly in Excel.
- Continued tallying Ms. Chan’s account works with the bank statement and generated the bank reconciliation.
- Communicated with a client to follow up on whether the necessary signatures had been completed and confirmed if we could collect the documents.
Key Learning
- Learned the importance of data backup to prevent loss and protect completed work.
- Practiced using Excel for financial summaries and improved my attention to detail.
- Understood how important clear communication and follow-ups with clients are in ensuring smooth progress.
Reflection
This morning really gave me a shock when the system suddenly showed “memory full” and, for a moment, it looked like all my work was gone. My heart almost dropped because I thought I had lost everything I keyed in. Luckily, after calming down, I managed to back up the data properly, and that was such a relief. It made me realize that no matter how careful we are, unexpected issues can happen anytime, so doing backups is not just a routine but it’s a lifesaver. Working with Ms. Chan on the commission summary was quite interesting. At first, I felt a bit unsure because it was recorded from a personal bank account, but once I got into it, I found myself becoming more confident in handling the details. Slowly, I feel like I’m adapting to her way of working and learning from her step by step.
On
top of that, doing follow-ups with clients about the signatures might seem
small, but I realized it’s actually important for keeping things moving. These
simple tasks train me to be more responsible and communicative. Overall, today
felt like a mix of stress, learning, and relief—but in the end, I’m glad it
pushed me to be more careful and proactive.
