- Continued the task assigned by Ms. Chan by keying in expense transactions for the client’s business.
- Made corrections to previous entries after realizing I had mistakenly recorded data under two different accounts, based on Mr. Lim’s advice and instructions.

- Gained experience in correcting accounting errors based on supervisor feedback.
- Learned that communication and clarification with supervisors are essential for solving misunderstandings.
- Realized that making mistakes is part of the learning process, and receiving guidance can help build confidence and improve accuracy.
Reflection
Today,
I continued keying in the expense transactions for the client’s business, as
assigned by Ms. Chan. While reviewing a previous task, Mr. Lim noticed that I
had accidentally recorded data for two different clients under the same
account. I was quite confused at first, because I genuinely didn’t realize they
were separate clients because of their documents were packed together in the
same bag, and I later found out that they actually know each other. This led me
to mistakenly assume everything belonged to a single client. Mr. Lim patiently
explained the difference between the two clients and clarified why it's
important to always verify the source of each document, even when they come
together. He comforted me by saying, “It’s okay, just treat it as experience, and
make sure not to repeat the same mistake next time”.
His
calm and understanding response helped ease my worries and reminded me that
mistakes are part of the learning process. He also reminded me that in
accounting, accuracy involves not just the numbers but also getting the names
and accounts right, especially when dealing with different clients. I
appreciated his guidance and took the correction seriously. From this
experience, I learned the importance of double-checking client information and
being more alert when handling mixed or unlabelled documents. I corrected the
errors and will be extra careful in similar situations moving forward.
