Reflection
Today, I restored the file I had taken home yesterday, and I felt genuinely happy and relieved because I finally managed to balance the general ledger and balance sheet. This was something I had been working on for quite a while and achieving that balance gave me a great sense of accomplishment. It was proof that my hard work, patience, and careful checking had paid off. I also felt a boost in confidence—knowing that I can solve difficult accounting issues if I stay focused and take my time.
With that positive energy, I began a new task assigned by Mr. Lim, which involved sorting through a new client’s business receipts. The documents were not organized, and everything was stuffed together in a single pile, so it took some time and effort to separate and categorize each receipt accurately. However, compared to how I might have reacted before, I now felt more motivated to handle it. I realized that overcoming one challenge gave me the momentum to face the next one with a better attitude. I still have a lot to learn, but each day I feel like I’m becoming more capable and efficient in dealing with real accounting work.
