Activity


- Started the task that Ms. Chan previously assigned, which involved keying in a client’s accounting data using the UBS accounting system.


Key Learning


- Strengthened my familiarity with UBS system functions and data entry processes.

- Practiced accuracy and attention to detail when matching entries with client documents.

- Learned to manage time efficiently when working independently on important tasks.


Reflection


Today, I finally had the chance to start the task that Ms. Chan had assigned to me earlier, which involved entering a client’s data into the UBS accounting system. Although this wasn’t my first time using UBS, I still appreciated the opportunity to gain more practice. Since the client’s documents were stored on Ms. Chan’s desktop, I couldn’t begin until she was away from the office today. I made sure to use the time wisely and focused on completing the task without delay.

Thankfully, I managed to finish all the entries within the day. It was a productive experience, and being able to access the necessary documents without interruption allowed me to work more smoothly. This also reminded me of the importance of being prepared and flexible, especially in a shared working environment.

Week 1 Day 1 (07 April 2025) Activity -  Ms. Chan, a staff member from the Accounting Department, gave a briefing about the company’s activities and the accounting job scope. - Ms. Chan also taught me how to prepare a full set of accounts for a company and assigned some tasks to me. - I keyed in the company’s payment records into the payment vouchers and supplier payment records.
