W8 Day 38 of Nana's Internship

Week 8 Day 38 (28 May 2025)

Activity

Filed all the documents that Ms. Chan assigned to me, which included personal income tax files for four to five different clients.

- Emailed the company secretary to request several documents required for accounting purposes.

Key Learning

Improved my organization skills through systematic filing of tax documents.

- Learned how to professionally communicate with external parties (e.g., company secretary) to follow up on necessary documentation.

- Understood the importance of complete and well-organized records in supporting accurate accounting and tax work.

Reflection

Today’s tasks were more administrative, but they were just as important as any technical accounting work. I filed several clients’ personal income tax documents, which required attention to detail and neat organization. It made me realize how crucial it is to maintain proper records not just for compliance, but also for easier referencing during audits or future tax filings.

Besides that, I also reached out to the company secretary via email to request important accounting documents. Although the task seemed simple, drafting the email professionally and making sure I included all necessary details was a good practice in communication. Overall, it was a smooth and focused day that reminded me how even small responsibilities contribute to the bigger picture in the accounting field.
