Activity


- Continued adjusting the bank statement transactions based on clarification obtained through client inquiries.

- Keyed in the expenses section for the client’s account work.

- Guided the client in signing the prepared documents for KWSP and PERKESO registration.

- Printed and organized all supporting documents related to the client's expenses.


Key Learning


- Improved ability to make corrections to banking transactions after communicating with clients.

- Learned how to guide clients through document signing processes for government registrations.

- Understood the importance of clear documentation to support each transaction entry.


Reflection


Today, as I continued adjusting the bank transactions based on the client’s clarification, I realized how important it is to communicate clearly and double-check every detail. Some errors weren’t immediately obvious until I took the time to go back and ask. It made me appreciate the value of patience and persistence in accounting work. When I helped the client sign the KWSP and PERKESO forms, I felt a sense of responsibility like I was trusted to handle something important. It might seem like a small task, but walking someone through a process they’re unfamiliar with gave me a small boost of confidence in my professional communication. Preparing and printing all the supporting documents reminded me how much attention to detail matters. Every document needs to be properly matched and filed to support our work. It was a long day, but seeing everything in order gave me a great sense of achievement and reminded me how far I’ve come since my first week.

Week 1 Day 1 (07 April 2025) Activity -  Ms. Chan, a staff member from the Accounting Department, gave a briefing about the company’s activities and the accounting job scope. - Ms. Chan also taught me how to prepare a full set of accounts for a company and assigned some tasks to me. - I keyed in the company’s payment records into the payment vouchers and supplier payment records.
