W17 Day 81 of Nana's Internship

Week 17 Day 81 (28 Jul 2025)

Activity

Continued checking all the transactions with other files to verify whether my records were accurate or if there were any missing transactions. This included reviewing personal claims, petrol and toll expenses, costs of car purchases or maintenance claimed by the clients as the business owners, and office use claims from June until December 2024.

Key Learning

Improved my ability to handle detailed verification work with consistency and focus.

- Learned to recognize patterns in expense categorization that help speed up checking.

- Understood the importance of maintaining clear records for better accuracy and efficiency.

Reflection

Today was another intense day of reviewing transactions in detail, especially as the period I was checking covered the final six months of 2024. Some of the transactions were straightforward, but others required me to cross-check carefully with supporting documents to ensure the accuracy of my records. There were moments when I felt a bit drained because of the repetitive nature of the task, but I reminded myself that thoroughness is key in accounting. As I continued, I noticed I was becoming more confident in identifying inconsistencies and spotting missing transactions faster than before. This improvement made me feel more accomplished, even though the process was still time-consuming. I also realized how important it is to have well-organized documentation from the beginning of the year, as it would make these year-end checks much smoother. Overall, I ended the day feeling satisfied with the progress I made and more motivated to finish the review completely.
