W18 Day 88 of Nana's Internship
Activity
- Continued cross-checking my previous records with the cost of goods sold (COGS) based on the car sales records provided by the business owner, which were organized separately by car plate numbers starting with the months of November and December 2024.
Key Learning
- Strengthened my attention to detail when handling month-specific and vehicle-specific financial data.
- Learned the importance of maintaining consistency when matching manual records with digital accounting entries.
Reflection
Today’s
task was quite mentally draining, as I spent most of the time diving into files
and matching up cost of goods sold (COGS) entries with the car sales records
provided by the business owner. Since the documents were organized by car plate
numbers, it took a lot of focus and patience to go through them one by one. It
felt a bit repetitive at times, but I reminded myself that these details really
matter in getting the accounts right. This process made me realize how crucial
consistency is in documentation when things are organized clearly, it saves so
much time and reduces the chance of mistakes. I also became more aware of how
easily a small mismatch can affect the whole financial picture. Even though it
was a challenging day, I’m glad I’m developing sharper eyes for spotting
discrepancies and becoming more confident in handling real accounting tasks.
