Activity


- Continued cross-checking my old records with the COGS based on car sales records from the business owner, arranged by car plate numbers, focusing on the months from July to September 2024.


Key Learning


- Improved accuracy in matching old records with COGS data.

- Understood the importance of reviewing several months together to see the full picture of sales and costs.

- Learned to be more organized when handling large amounts of detailed data.


Reflection


Today I continued with the same checking work, but this time I focused on the months from July to September 2024. The car sales records were arranged by car plate numbers, so I followed that system to compare with my old records. It was a lot of data to go through, so I needed to be extra patient and focused to avoid mistakes. Even though the work was repetitive, I started to see how reviewing several months together can help spot trends or differences that might be missed when only checking one month. This made me appreciate the value of thorough and careful record checking in accounting.

Week 1 Day 1 (07 April 2025) Activity -  Ms. Chan, a staff member from the Accounting Department, gave a briefing about the company’s activities and the accounting job scope. - Ms. Chan also taught me how to prepare a full set of accounts for a company and assigned some tasks to me. - I keyed in the company’s payment records into the payment vouchers and supplier payment records.
