- Helped the client create a new account and provided the service to register SST for them.

- Continued cross-checking my old records with the COGS based on car sales records from the business owner, arranged by car plate numbers, focusing on June 2024.


Key Learning


- Learned the process of creating a new account for a client and handling SST registration as part of our services.

- Gained better understanding of SST requirements, eligibility, and necessary documents.

- Strengthened attention to detail while verifying COGS for an earlier month.


Reflection


Today was a mix of client service and record checking. In the morning, I worked on creating a new account for a client and carrying out the SST registration service on their behalf. This gave me hands-on exposure to the full process from preparing the necessary details to submitting the registration while also reinforcing my knowledge of which businesses are required to register and the timelines involved. After that, I continued with my ongoing task of cross-checking COGS, focusing on the car sales records for June 2024. I compared each entry against my earlier records to ensure there were no mistakes or missing information. While the task can be repetitive, I’ve learned that each careful check plays a big role in building a complete and accurate financial picture. Overall, it was a balanced day of client-related work and detailed verification tasks.

Week 1 Day 1 (07 April 2025) Activity -  Ms. Chan, a staff member from the Accounting Department, gave a briefing about the company’s activities and the accounting job scope. - Ms. Chan also taught me how to prepare a full set of accounts for a company and assigned some tasks to me. - I keyed in the company’s payment records into the payment vouchers and supplier payment records.
