- Continued cross-checking my old records with the COGS based on car sales records from the business owner, focusing on May and June 2024.


Key Learning


- Reinforced the importance of checking older records carefully to spot discrepancies or missing transactions.

- Gained better efficiency in reviewing COGS by grouping and comparing entries systematically.

 


Reflection


Today’s focus was on COGS for May and June 2024, and although the work was a continuation of previous days, I noticed that my speed and accuracy have improved compared to when I first started. I’ve developed a method to compare the business owner’s records with my old files more systematically, which reduces confusion and makes it easier to spot any mismatches. Even though it’s a repetitive task, I can see how this process builds consistency and reliability in financial reporting.

Week 1 Day 1 (07 April 2025) Activity -  Ms. Chan, a staff member from the Accounting Department, gave a briefing about the company’s activities and the accounting job scope. - Ms. Chan also taught me how to prepare a full set of accounts for a company and assigned some tasks to me. - I keyed in the company’s payment records into the payment vouchers and supplier payment records.
