W21 Day 102 of Nana's Internship

Week 21 Day 102 (26 Aug 2025)

Activity

Amended certain items in the invoice as requested by Mr. Lim.

- Issued a quotation for a client regarding monthly bookkeeping service charges, as instructed by Ms. Amber.

- Continued checking and amending the costs and sales double entries, while maintaining the stock value and identifying which cars should be carried forward to the following year.

Key Learning

Learned how even small adjustments in invoices are important to match client requirements and avoid disputes later.

- Understood more about preparing quotations for recurring bookkeeping services and how pricing reflects the workload and value provided.

- Gained deeper experience in handling double entry corrections and maintaining stock value, especially in deciding which assets need to be carried forward.

Reflection

Today’s work gave me a good mix of client service and technical accounting tasks. Amending the invoice for Mr. Lim made me realize how detailed and precise we need to be because even small errors can affect the client’s trust. Preparing the quotation for monthly bookkeeping services was another reminder that accounting is not just about calculations, but also about clearly showing the value of the services we provide. On the technical side, continuing with the adjustments of costs, sales, and stock carry forward felt a bit repetitive, but I know it’s necessary to make the accounts accurate. The more I do this, the more I understand how each adjustment connects to the overall financial picture.

Finally, after the past few weeks of continuous checking, discussions with my senior account executive, and many back-and-forth calls with clients, I managed to complete this account. It felt like a small achievement because I could see how all the effort and communication came together to finish something properly. Even though the process was not easy, it gave me confidence that I am slowly learning how to handle real client accounts.
