W23 Day 114 of Nana's Internship

Week 23 Day 114 (11 September 2025)
Activity
- Continued working on the previous accounts by preparing journal vouchers to record staff salary based on the Excel records.
- Communicated with the person in charge to clarify and tally the cash sales, as she had combined the director’s own sales with the company’s sales, which caused my confusion.
Key Learning
- I learned how to prepare journal vouchers for salary records using Excel as reference.
- I learned that asking questions directly is important to clear up confusion when sales records are not separated properly.
- I learned that good communication helps avoid mistakes in financial reporting.
Reflection
Today’s
work reminded me again how important accuracy is in accounting. When I was
making the journal vouchers, I had to double-check the salary records from
Excel, and it made me realize how detailed payroll recording can be. Communicating
with the person in charge about the sales was a bit confusing at first because
the records mixed personal and company sales. But after I asked questions and
clarified, I felt relieved and more confident about separating the
transactions. It also made me realize that sometimes mistakes or confusion
don’t come from my work, but from how information is provided, so it’s always
better to confirm instead of assuming. Even though it took extra time, I felt
satisfied that I managed to sort things out correctly. It gave me a small sense
of progress in learning how to handle real-life situations where information is
not always clear.
