Key Learning
- Learned the importance of keeping supporting documents organized for reference and verification.
- Learned how miscalculations in promotions can affect overall sales records.
- Learned the value of discussing errors and solutions with seniors to prevent recurring mistakes.
Reflection
Today’s
tasks felt like a mix of routine and problem-solving. Sorting supporting
documents may seem simple, but I realized how important it is when looking back
to trace mistakes or clarify figures. It really showed me that proper
documentation is the backbone of accurate accounting. The amendment on cash
sales was a bit tricky because the promotion portion was not only wrongly
calculated but also missing from the actual record. At first, I felt a little
frustrated, it can be stressful to find mistakes after spending so much time on
previous work. But after communicating with the client and correcting the
figures, I felt more confident in handling these issues. Explaining the
situation to Mr. Lim gave me a valuable chance to practice how to present,
explain, and even give my own opinion about improving the account records to
someone in a higher position. I realized that being able to communicate ideas
clearly is just as important as technical accuracy. This experience made me
feel more responsible and more prepared for real workplace situations.
