W26 Day 126 of Nana's Internship

 Week 26 Day 126 (29 September 2025)

Activity

Continued checking statements and preparing the bank reconciliation for the period of June 2018 until July 2018.

- Keyed in the payment vouchers that were paid by cash for the period of August 2017 until September 2018.

Key Learning

Learned how to carefully handle cash payment vouchers to ensure they are recorded in the right period.

- Improved understanding of how bank reconciliation links to both cash and cheque transactions.

Reflection

Today’s work felt a little challenging because I had to deal with two different sets of records at once which is bank reconciliations and cash payment vouchers. It took extra focus to make sure everything tallied properly, especially since the transactions spanned across different months and years. I realized how important it is to stay systematic when handling overlapping tasks, or else it becomes easy to overlook something small. Even though the process was repetitive, I noticed that each check built up my confidence in managing older records. It gave me the impression that accounting is not only about numbers but also about building consistency and discipline. Slowly, I can see how these practices are shaping me to be more detail-oriented and patient, which is something I want to carry forward in my career.
