Activity


- Continued keying in the payment vouchers for the period of November 2018 to January 2019.


Key Learning


- Learned how to maintain consistency when recording payment vouchers across different months and financial periods.

- Improved accuracy and speed in data entry while ensuring all transactions were recorded under the correct account codes.

- Understood the importance of verifying payment details before finalizing entries to avoid future reconciliation issues.


Reflection


Today’s task was quite repetitive, but it reminded me how important attention to detail is in accounting work. Each payment voucher represents a small but significant part of a company’s financial story, and even one mistake could affect the accuracy of the reports later. As I continued with the entries, I noticed I’ve become more confident and efficient in using SQL something that felt quite challenging at the beginning of my internship. It feels rewarding to see how consistent practice has helped me improve both my technical and analytical skills.

Week 1 Day 1 (07 April 2025) Activity -  Ms. Chan, a staff member from the Accounting Department, gave a briefing about the company’s activities and the accounting job scope. - Ms. Chan also taught me how to prepare a full set of accounts for a company and assigned some tasks to me. - I keyed in the company’s payment records into the payment vouchers and supplier payment records.
