- Continued keying in the payment vouchers for the period of February 2019 to July 2019.


Key Learning


- Learned to manage a larger data range more efficiently while maintaining accuracy and consistency across months.

- Gained better understanding of how to organize and verify transactions before final posting.

- Improved focus and time management when handling repetitive accounting tasks.


Reflection


Today’s work required a lot of patience and concentration since I was handling several months of payment vouchers in one go. Although the process was quite routine, I realized how crucial it is to stay consistent and careful when recording financial data. Even small typing mistakes or wrong account codes could create problems later in reconciliation. Bit by bit, I’m starting to develop a steady workflow and more confidence in handling a high volume of entries without losing accuracy. It’s satisfying to see how much smoother this process feels compared to when I first started.

Week 1 Day 1 (07 April 2025) Activity -  Ms. Chan, a staff member from the Accounting Department, gave a briefing about the company’s activities and the accounting job scope. - Ms. Chan also taught me how to prepare a full set of accounts for a company and assigned some tasks to me. - I keyed in the company’s payment records into the payment vouchers and supplier payment records.
